Lemnos RELIEF Clock

RELIEF is a porcelain clock made using “gabaikomi,” a special casting technique in which a liquid ceramic mixture is poured into a mold and then removed, creating the clock’s distinctive form. The clock face has a gentle concave shape, similar to a mortar or shallow vessel, with the hour markers and hands integrated smoothly into the surface. Twelve fine line markers indicate the hours, while the thin hands complement the simple form. The outer frame is softly rounded, creating a subtle shadow against the wall and making the clock easy to handle during installation. Developed from traditional pottery techniques in collaboration with Ceramic Japan, RELIEF combines ceramic craftsmanship with a simple, modern approach to time.
