Turquoise Mountain
Turquoise Mountain, founded in 2006 by King Charles III, aims to revive historic areas and traditional crafts while providing jobs and skills. Key achievements include restoring over 150 historic buildings, training 15,000 artisans, treating 165,000 patients at a Kabul clinic, and generating $17 million in sales of traditional crafts. The organization continues to support families in Kabul, Bamiyan, and northern Afghanistan through humanitarian aid, education, health services, and livelihood opportunities in craft production and heritage preservation.
