Medium Kitonga Sisal & Banana Fiber Bin Basket

This versatile bin basket is handwoven by talented rural Kenyan women using strands of hand-dyed sisal and banana fiber. The baskets are appreciated for their ability to be re-shaped, as well as their durability and all-natural composition. Sold singly. Because this is a handmade item, each will vary slightly. Shaping Instructions: Spray your sisal basket lightly with cold water, then set it aside a few minutes so the sisal fibers can soak up the water. Once the wet sisal has stiffened, you can press out the creases and mold the basket to your desired shape. Air dry your shaped basket on a covered surface, in case any dye bleeds.
