Cantaritos Kit
Cantaritos de barro cups are traditional small clay cups that are staples of street fairs in the Mexican state of Jalisco.
Rim, Pour, Drink!
Known by locals as “the best way to drink tequila,” the jarritos de barro mexicanos cups inspired the Mexican Cantaritos cocktail. The Mexican Cantaritos cocktail is made by rimming the cup with lime juice and chili salt, squeezing fresh lemon, lime, and grapefruit juice in the cup, and adding a splash of tequila and grapefruit soda. Try it with some friends!
The making of Cantaritos cups
Cantaritos cups are humble, with a lot of character and history. Their clay material is perfect for maintaining a cocktail’s cold temperature, and the handmade nature evoked memories of generations worth of fun.
