Isolo Weavers, established in 1996 in Matinyani Sub-County, Kitui County, is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women through traditional weaving. With over 200 active women weavers, Isolo Weavers has become a cornerstone of the community, providing sustainable income and improving the quality of life for these women and their families. The organization specializes in producing high-quality baskets, carpets, and mats, blending traditional techniques with modern designs to create unique, durable products.

Beyond production, Isolo Weavers is committed to passing down the art of weaving to the younger generation. The organization offers training programs for young women, equipping them with the skills needed to weave and then integrating them into the organization as full-time weavers, where they receive fair wages.

Environmental conservation is a key priority for Isolo Weavers. The organization primarily uses sisal, a natural and sustainable fiber, in their weaving processes.
