Prepare yourself for customers who giggle loudly, sigh, and hold these cards over their hearts. Betsie Richardson sells over 80 greeting cards on 100% recycled paper with compostable clear bags.
Betsie began a serious practice of oil painting in 2013, and her greeting card line launched within a year after she took her first batch of cards to the public market in Boise, Idaho and they sold out. Betsie wanted to bring irreverence to the art world and painted subjects like a peach wedged in a mason jar, which became a greeting card that says, “Suzie misinterpreted the meaning of jamming.” Betsie also found a way to bring hope through her paintings. A single Rainier cherry stands apart from a group of Bing cherries, and the card says “The world needs you, beautiful thing."
