Keep it Fun/ctional, as the name suggests, is all about creating fun and functional products. The founder, Nidhi Goenka studied at Parsons School of Design in New York, drawing inspiration for the Bauhaus movement. She returned to Calcutta, where she grew up, and conceived the brand as a means to create products that offer a fresh perspective on one’s understanding of good design. “I noticed a gap in the market between well-designed and well-made everyday products,” Goenka says. “I saw it as an opportunity to create something minimal and fuss-free and yet practical and fun.” Today, Keep it Fun/ctional focuses on cork-based homewares, providing modern and ethical alternatives to everyday products that are playful, practical and facilitate self-expression. And, above all, good for the environment. “At Keep It Fun/ctional, we follow the principle of Cradle to Cradle,” Goenka says, “where all materials in the object can go back to their original state and be either reused, recycled or upcycled.”
